Sustainability

What is actually in place, and what would be greenwashing to claim.

What is in place

  • Consolidated shipping where possible

Items from the same seller ship together in one parcel rather than one per line, which is both cheaper and less wasteful.

  • Returns are resold, not binned

Returned items that pass inspection go back into the seller’s stock. Destroying returns is not permitted under the Seller Policy.

  • Honest delivery options

Economy shipping is offered and priced attractively. Slower consolidated freight has a materially lower footprint than air express.

What we are not claiming

Test environment: Environmental claims are regulated in several markets and a marketplace cannot verify a seller’s supply chain from a listing form. Anything unverified is left unsaid here on purpose.

  • No carbon-neutral or net-zero claim is made — no emissions accounting has been carried out.
  • No offset programme is in place. Buying offsets without measuring first is not meaningful.
  • Individual product sustainability claims are the seller’s, and we do not independently verify them.
  • No certification scheme has been audited or awarded.

Think a listing makes a misleading environmental claim? Report it.
